As awareness increases, demand for installers will rise sharply—just as it did before the 2022 rental deadline—creating long wait times, limited appointment availability, and pressure on pricing and stock.
Homeowners who delay risk struggling to find an installer before the deadline or paying more for “urgent upgrades.” Queensland cannot upgrade the remaining homes in the final few months, so upgrading early is the safest and most cost-effective approach.
